The Norwegian Black Metal band Satyricon has announced a new studio album to be released in May 2024. Furthermore, they will present it on stage, primarily at festivals. This marks the group’s return to live performances after a five-year absence.

Here is the statement released on social media by the band:

«We are pleased to confirm that we will return to the stage for the first time in five years in the summer of 2024. We will focus on the European festival circuit, and we currently have no touring plans beyond that.

Right now, we are working on a new album scheduled for release in May 2024.

The art exhibition and album ‘Satyricon & Munch’ was an intense project that consumed everything for the recording, but it’s now history, and we have been working on all these new things behind closed doors for almost a year. We are excited to share it with you soon.

We are looking forward to playing both new and old songs for you and once again hearing you sing, scream, and chant like the army you are.

We will announce all the dates once they have been confirmed and approved for release. It will be great.»
