Desde las profundidades del underground sueco, la oscura entidad conocida como Korp regresa con fuerza total en 2025 para presentar su cuarto y más ambicioso álbum de estudio, titulado «And Darker It Shall Become», que verá la luz el próximo 5 de septiembre a través del sello Grind To Death Records.
Formada originalmente en 1995 bajo el nombre Nocturnal, rebautizada como Demogorgon en 1996 y finalmente consolidada como Korp ese mismo año, la banda ha cultivado durante tres décadas un sonido inconfundible que entrelaza con maestría elementos de black metal, death y thrash, fusionando la melodía escandinava con atmósferas opresivas y una agresividad demoledora. From the depths of the Swedish underground, the dark entity known as Korp returns in full force in 2025 to present their fourth and most ambitious studio album, titled «And Darker It Shall Become», which will be released on September 5th through the label Grind To Death Records.
Originally formed in 1995 under the name Nocturnal, renamed Demogorgon in 1996, and finally established as Korpthat same year, the band has cultivated over three decades a distinctive sound that masterfully intertwines elements of black metal, death, and thrash, fusing Scandinavian melody with oppressive atmospheres and devastating aggression. In that process, Korp has earned a solid place among the pillars of Scandinavian extreme metal, and this new release promises to reaffirm that position.
