Superior Rage, el proyecto de symphonic black metal, ha anunciado el lanzamiento de su nuevo EP, «In Memoriam». El EP «In Memoriam» no es solo una mirada retrospectiva; es una experiencia focalizada que incluye clásicos regrabados junto a dos temas nuevos e inéditos: «The Death of the Red Dragon» y «Soleright».
El fundador del proyecto, conocido simplemente como Superior Rage (voz y sintetizadores), afirma que la contribución de los músicos de sesión ha hecho que la música se sienta «más vibrante y pulsátil» en comparación con sus producciones anteriores, que eran más frías y minimalistas.
La pieza central del EP es una versión revitalizada de «Asmodeus Bacchic», una pista insignia que se remonta al primer demo de Superior Rage en 2008. La canción encarna un teatral «bacanal entre demonios» y fusiona magistralmente furia, fuerza destructiva y un estilo oscuro. El tema refleja la esencia misteriosa del personaje de Superior Rage, invulnerable bajo un manto negro y una máscara dorada.
El proyecto Superior Rage se inició en 2006, evolucionando desde un black metal crudo a un enfoque más sinfónico y atmosférico con lanzamientos clave como «Through Infinity» (2010) e «III» (2011). Tras un hiato, el proyecto resurgió en 2022 con el sencillo «Boobs Explosions», lo que condujo a la colección de temas regrabados «Anthology» (2024).

Superior Rage, the symphonic black metal project, has announced the release of its new EP, «In Memoriam». The record marks a clear statement of renewal for the project, fusing its raw black metal roots with contemporary production and the participation of skilled session musicians.
The EP «In Memoriam» is not just a look back; it is a focused experience that includes re-recorded classics alongside two new, previously unreleased tracks: «The Death of the Red Dragon» and «Soleright».
The project’s founder, known simply as Superior Rage (vocals and synths), asserts that the contribution of the session musicians has made the music feel «more vibrant and pulsatile» compared to their previous, colder and more minimal productions.
The centerpiece of the EP is a revitalized version of «Asmodeus Bacchic», a signature track dating back to Superior Rage‘s first demo in 2008. The song embodies a theatrical «bacchanal among demons» and masterfully merges fury, destructive force, and a dark flair. The track reflects the mysterious essence of the Superior Rage character—invulnerable beneath a black mantle and a golden mask.
The Superior Rage project began in 2006, evolving from raw black metal to a more symphonic and atmospheric approach with key releases like «Through Infinity» (2010) and «III» (2011). Following a hiatus, the project resurfaced in 2022 with the single «Boobs Explosions», which led to the collection of re-recorded tracks «Anthology» (2024).
The EP «In Memoriam» was built upon the 2025 promo «Back to the Crypt» and now presents the core vision of Superior Rage (music, lyrics, synth & bass) alongside a powerful contingent of session musicians that includes Baelithiel (vocals & lyrics), Maikon (drums), Nemorion (guitars), and Hrafnagud (guitars).
