La formación polaca Morrath ha anunciado oficialmente el lanzamiento de su nuevo EP, titulado «Obscure Abominations». Este trabajo marca un punto de inflexión en la trayectoria de una banda que nació en 2017 bajo el nombre de Prowler y que, tras consolidar su formación con el núcleo original de Maslakowski y Jankowski, ha evolucionado hacia un sonido notablemente más pesado, rápido y técnico.
Tras el éxito de su álbum debut «Centuries of Blindness» (2023) y su reciente participación en el split «Przegnity Konglomerat» (2025), Morrath presenta una propuesta sonora que busca expandir los límites del metal extremo tradicional.
En palabras de la propia banda:
«Decidimos hacer nuestra música más oscura, atmosférica, trascendental e incluso psicodélica o ‘ácida’, asegurándonos de mantener la dosis justa de agresión y brutalidad. El proceso de grabación en un entorno más íntimo nos permitió tener un control total sobre el sonido, logrando la estética que mejor representa la identidad de Morrath en la actualidad».
Para este EP, Morrath ha contado con un elenco de invitados destacados de la escena underground polaca y un equipo técnico de primer nivel:

El sello Necroscope Blasphemia será el encargado de la distribución. «Obscure Abominations» estará disponible en formato digital y en una edición física en CD limitada a 300 copias. The Polish outfit Morrath has officially announced the release of their new EP, titled «Obscure Abominations». This work marks a turning point in the career of a band that was born in 2017 under the name Prowler and, after solidifying its lineup with the original core of Maslakowski and Jankowski, has evolved toward a significantly heavier, faster, and more technical sound.
Following the success of their debut album «Centuries of Blindness» (2023) and their recent participation in the split «Przegnity Konglomerat» (2025), Morrath presents a sonic proposal that seeks to expand the boundaries of traditional extreme metal.
In the words of the band itself:
«We decided to make our music darker, more atmospheric, transcendental, and even psychedelic or ‘acidic,’ while ensuring we maintained the right dose of aggression and brutality. The recording process in a more intimate environment allowed us to have total control over the sound, achieving the aesthetic that best represents Morrath‘s identity today.»
For this EP, Morrath has enlisted a cast of prominent guests from the Polish underground scene and a top-tier technical team:

The label Necroscope Blasphemia will be in charge of distribution. «Obscure Abominations» will be available in digital format and as a physical CD edition limited to 300 copies. As an added value for collectors, the physical version will include live tracks taken from their 2025 split.
