La formación polaca Hegeroth, referente del metal extremo de Alta Silesia, ha confirmado el lanzamiento de su sexto álbum de estudio, titulado «Soaked in Rot». El disco verá la luz el próximo 25 de marzo de 2026, consolidando una trayectoria de más de quince años marcados por la independencia creativa y una constante evolución sonora.
Desde su fundación en 2010, Hegeroth ha redefinido su identidad sin ceñirse a los cánones establecidos del black metal. Lo que comenzó como una propuesta de tintes melódicos y sinfónicos ha mutado hacia estructuras complejas y ricas en disonancias, culminando en su etapa actual: una descarga de agresividad, velocidad y una expresión artística sin concesiones.
La banda se define por su apertura a influencias externas, manteniendo siempre una energía puramente metálica. Líricamente, Hegeroth mantiene su postura crítica, utilizando su música como un vehículo para cuestionar el dogmatismo, la opresión religiosa y el estancamiento intelectual que nace de los modelos de pensamiento único.
Como punta de lanza de este nuevo trabajo, la banda ha estrenado el sencillo «The Nails», una pieza que encapsula la ferocidad de su sonido actual. Respecto al concepto del tema, la banda ha compartido un mensaje con su característico matiz intelectual:
«Si no le temen a los cálculos que superan la cifra de 30, o si no están familiarizados con el término triclavianismo [la creencia en el uso de solo tres clavos para la crucifixión], los invitamos cordialmente a descubrir nuestro último sencillo, ‘The Nails’«.
Para garantizar un sonido a la altura de su intensidad, la grabación, mezcla y masterización de «Soaked in Rot» se llevó a cabo en los HHSoundLab Studios bajo la dirección de Beneat.
El apartado visual ha corrido a cargo del reconocido artista Maciej Kamuda, cuyo portafolio incluye trabajos para instituciones del género como Blut aus Nord, Nunslaughter y Master. Su diseño para la portada y el layout complementa la atmósfera orgánica y pútrida que sugiere el título del álbum.
The Polish outfit Hegeroth, a benchmark of Upper Silesian extreme metal, has confirmed the release of its sixth studio album, titled «Soaked in Rot». The record is set to be unleashed on March 25, 2026, consolidating a career spanning more than fifteen years marked by creative independence and constant sonic evolution.
Since its founding in 2010, Hegeroth has redefined its identity without adhering to established black metal canons. What began as a proposal with melodic and symphonic tinges has mutated toward complex structures rich in dissonance, culminating in its current stage: an outpouring of aggression, speed, and uncompromising artistic expression.
The band defines itself by its openness to outside influences while always maintaining a purely metallic energy. Lyrically, Hegeroth maintains its critical stance, using its music as a vehicle to question dogmatism, religious oppression, and the intellectual stagnation born from monolithic thinking.
As the spearhead for this new work, the band has premiered the single «The Nails», a track that encapsulates the ferocity of their current sound. Regarding the concept of the song, the band shared a message with their characteristic intellectual nuance:
«If you are not afraid of calculations that exceed the number 30, or if you are unfamiliar with the term triclavianism [the belief in the use of only three nails for the crucifixion], we cordially invite you to discover our latest single, ‘The Nails’«.
To ensure a sound that matches their intensity, the recording, mixing, and mastering of «Soaked in Rot» was carried out at HHSoundLab Studios under the direction of Beneat.
The visual department was handled by the renowned artist Maciej Kamuda, whose portfolio includes work for genre institutions such as Blut aus Nord, Nunslaughter, and Master. His design for the cover and layout complements the organic and putrid atmosphere suggested by the album’s title.
