Wilhelm Lindh, veterano de la escena extrema y mente creativa detrás de proyectos como The Gardnerz y exmiembro de Tristitia o Pandemonium, ha presentado oficialmente «Some Things Are Too Broken». Se trata del segundo sencillo de su nuevo proyecto personal, Resumption, un nombre que simboliza el acto de retomar una senda tras una pausa necesaria.
Musicalmente, Resumption se posiciona en una intersección sonora de gran calado. Lindh ha logrado tender un puente entre el groove devastador de referentes como Bolt Thrower, Broken Hope o Acheron, y la atmósfera densa y asfixiante del doom funerario noruego al estilo de Funeral.
El resultado es un sonido orgánico y visceral que marca el regreso del músico sueco —afincado en Portugal desde hace años— al «pozo» del metal extremo, tras un periodo dedicado a explorar géneros como el blues.
«Some Things Are Too Broken» no es solo una pieza de metal extremo; es una declaración introspectiva sobre la salud mental y la necesidad de soltar cargas emocionales. Según explica el propio Lindh, la canción aborda el momento crítico en el que se comprende que ciertas situaciones o personas son irreparables.
Líricamente, el proyecto no rehúye temas complejos, combinando el desgarrador realismo de los trastornos mentales con un marcado sentimiento antirreligioso.
El álbum debut, titulado «The Respite», constará de 9 cortes y será lanzado de forma digital el próximo 17 de abril de 2026. Wilhelm Lindh se ha encargado de la totalidad de la instrumentación y las voces, aunque ya se encuentra trabajando en una formación para llevar este material a los escenarios.
En un gesto de gran carga emocional, el disco está dedicado a la memoria de su padre:

Musically, Resumption stands at a profound sonic intersection. Lindh has successfully bridged the gap between the devastating groove of benchmarks like Bolt Thrower, Broken Hope, and Acheron, and the dense, suffocating atmosphere of Norwegian funeral doom in the vein of Funeral.
The result is an organic and visceral sound marking the return of the Swedish musician—based in Portugal for years—to the «pit» of extreme metal, following a period dedicated to exploring genres like the blues.
«Some Things Are Too Broken» is not just an extreme metal track; it is an introspective statement on mental health and the need to release emotional burdens. As Lindh himself explains, the song addresses the critical moment of realizing that certain situations or people are beyond repair. Lyrically, the project does not shy away from complex themes, combining the harrowing realism of mental disorders with a strong anti-religious sentiment.
The debut album, titled «The Respite», will consist of 9 tracks and is set for digital release on April 17, 2026. Wilhelm Lindh handled all instrumentation and vocals, although he is already working on a lineup to bring this material to the stage.
