Tras tres años de su aclamado segundo álbum, Sorceress of Sin regresa con «Ennea», una ambiciosa producción conceptual inspirada en la mitología griega. Con un sonido pulido y una ejecución impecable, este tercer trabajo consolida la identidad de la banda británica dentro del power metal melódico, equilibrando velocidad, melodía y un rango vocal impresionante.
Desde el inicio con “Odyl”, el álbum establece un tono épico con una instrumentación vibrante y una producción nítida que permite destacar cada elemento. Las guitarras de Constantine Kanakis y John Turner ofrecen una combinación de riffs contundentes y solos melódicos, mientras que el bajo de Daniel Mackender se gana un papel protagónico en la mezcla, aportando un peso adicional a la estructura de las canciones. 
El trabajo de batería de Paul Skinner es potente y preciso, brindando la base rítmica perfecta para la energía de la banda. Las orquestaciones, aunque presentes, nunca abruman la instrumentación principal, permitiendo que cada instrumento respire y conserve su identidad.
Uno de los mayores atractivos del álbum es la versatilidad vocal de Lisa Skinner, quien despliega un impresionante rango que va desde screams agresivos hasta pasajes melódicos llenos de emoción. Su capacidad para alternar entre registros recuerda a vocalistas icónicos del género, y en canciones como «Nymphet» y «The Quest», muestra su destreza tanto en tonos oscuros como en notas soprano de gran dramatismo.
«Poseidon» es una de las piezas más memorables, con melodías pegadizas y un gran uso de teclados para reforzar la atmósfera épica. La interpretación vocal de Lisa es feroz, con agudos penetrantes que resaltan en el estribillo.
«Clarity of Confusion» Un tema de casi 12 minutos que se erige como el punto culminante del álbum. Comienza con una introducción melódica y atmosférica antes de transformarse en un himno de power metal con múltiples cambios de dinámica y una estructura compleja. La combinación de narración, pasajes instrumentales y un solo de guitarra brillante hacen de esta canción una de las más ambiciosas del disco.
«Artisan» Cierra el álbum con una poderosa mezcla de balada y heavy metal épico, destacando la capacidad de la banda para crear momentos emotivos sin perder su identidad enérgica.
Si bien el álbum ofrece una experiencia inmersiva y bien producida, algunos temas como «Reina» y «Trickster» siguen estructuras predecibles dentro del power metal, sin aportar mucha innovación al género. Asimismo, aunque las orquestaciones están bien integradas, en ciertos momentos podrían haber sido más exploradas para ampliar la profundidad del sonido.

From the very beginning with “Odyl” the album sets an epic tone with vibrant instrumentation and crisp production that highlights each element. Constantine Kanakis and John Turner’s guitars offer a combination of powerful riffs and melodic solos, while Daniel Mackender’s bass takes on a prominent role in the mix, adding extra weight to the song structures.
Paul Skinner’s drumming is powerful and precise, providing the perfect rhythmic foundation for the band’s energy. The orchestrations, although present, never overwhelm the main instrumentation, allowing each instrument to breathe and maintain its identity.
One of the biggest highlights of the album is Lisa Skinner’s vocal versatility, displaying an impressive range that spans from aggressive screams to emotionally charged melodic passages.
