Deadwood se formó en 2020 y está compuesta por veteranos de la escena: Fred (guitarra, ex-The Plasmarifle, ex-Ion Dissonance), Stéphane (guitarra, ex-Nova Spei), Charles (batería, ex-Dismayd) y Derek(vocalista). La banda ha ganado reputación por su presencia en vivo, realizando giras en Japón con Humanity’s Last Breath y participando en el Inkcarceration Festival 2025.
Actualmente de gira por Canadá, Deadwood se prepara para su primera incursión en Europa en 2026.

The Canadian progressive deathcore band Deadwood has released «Tales of Massacre» the second single from their forthcoming EP, «Rituals of a Dying Light» The EP is scheduled to be released on January 6, 2026, through Innerstrength Records. The official music video for the song is now available on YouTube, and the track can be streamed on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
Deadwood fuses elements of death metal and hardcore with a focus on brutality. The band’s motto, «Make Deathcore Angry Again» reflects their goal to evoke fear and violence through their music.
The EP was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Fred Element at EMNT Studio in January 2025. The work is composed of five tracks that channel the ferocity of Meshuggah, the brutality of Whitechapel, and the groove of Pantera. Lyrically, the material is inspired by dark histories, from the Salem witch trials to the reign of Jack the Ripper.
