Murmur, la banda de post-black metal con base en Madrid, ha lanzado el videoclip de «Red Hill III: The Calling», el único adelanto de su próximo álbum, «Red Hill». El nuevo trabajo conceptual está programado para salir el 6 de noviembre de 2025.
Este segundo álbum, sucesor de «Pvtrefactio» (2020), se articula en torno a tres extensos movimientos que la banda sitúa entre el post-black metal, el blackgaze y elementos de doom y progresivo.
«Red Hill» aborda una retrospectiva íntima a través de diversas épocas históricas de la capital española, tomando como elemento central el templo y monumento al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, el cual es conceptualizado como un catalizador de dolor y crítica social. El disco expone, en particular, la relación de poder entre las altas esferas de la Iglesia y la dictadura franquista, haciendo referencia al breve nombre «Cerro Rojo» adoptado por el Cerro de los Ángeles en 1936.
El sencillo de más de once minutos, «Red Hill III: The Calling», viene acompañado de un videoclip cargado de simbolismo y misticismo, dirigido por Azahara G. Martínez y Lorenzo Ayuso, con la producción de Corrupta Imagines.
El álbum fue grabado, mezclado y masterizado por Víctor Saiz en California Studios. Con la portada a cargo de Azahara G. Martínez a partir de una obra fotográfica de Fred J. Segado, Murmur busca consolidar su propuesta con una obra que apela a seguidores de bandas como Amenra, Deafheaven, Harakiri For The Sky y Mgła.

This second album, successor to «Pvtrefactio» (2020), is articulated around three extensive movements that the band places between post-black metal, blackgaze, and elements of doom and progressive.
«Red Hill» approaches an intimate retrospective through various historical periods of the Spanish capital, taking as its central element the temple and monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is conceptualized as a catalyst for pain and social critique. The record exposes, in particular, the power relationship between the high spheres of the Church and the Franco dictatorship, referencing the brief name «Cerro Rojo» (Red Hill) adopted by the Cerro de los Ángeles in 1936.
The more than eleven-minute single, «Red Hill III: The Calling» is accompanied by a music video loaded with symbolism and mysticism, directed by Azahara G. Martínez and Lorenzo Ayuso, with production by Corrupta Imagines.
The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Víctor Saiz at California Studios. With the cover art by Azahara G. Martínez based on a photographic work by Fred J. Segado, Murmur seeks to consolidate their proposal with a work that appeals to followers of bands like Amenra, Deafheaven, Harakiri For The Sky, and Mgła.
