La formación rumana Mauna Sol ha revelado oficialmente el primer sencillo de su esperado álbum debut, cuya publicación está programada para esta primavera bajo el sello Loud Rage Music. El tema, titulado «A New Life», ya se encuentra disponible a través de un lyric video de alta factura producido por Andrea Mantelli Productions.
Originarios de Brașov (Transilvania) y formados en 2019, Mauna Sol es un quinteto de post-black metal que canaliza las diversas trayectorias musicales de sus integrantes a través de una visión introspectiva y sombría. Aunque su sonido hunde sus raíces en el metal extremo tradicional, la banda se distingue por una propuesta conceptual profundamente narrativa.
El álbum se estructura en torno a un relato breve escrito por George, líder y vocalista de la agrupación. Cada composición explora capítulos específicos de esta historia, logrando un equilibrio dinámico que transita con fluidez entre la cruda intensidad y sutiles matices melancólicos.
Líricamente, las piezas dan voz a un ermitaño que ha elegido el aislamiento voluntario. La narrativa describe un proceso de «suicidio de la identidad»; una travesía agónica situada en un desierto hostil donde el viejo «yo» debe ser sacrificado para permitir un renacimiento personal.

The Romanian outfit Mauna Sol has officially revealed the first single from their highly anticipated debut album, scheduled for release this spring under the Loud Rage Music label. The track, titled «A New Life», is now available via a high-quality lyric video produced by Andrea Mantelli Productions.
Originating from Brașov (Transylvania) and formed in 2019, Mauna Sol is a post-black metal quintet that channels the diverse musical backgrounds of its members through an introspective and somber vision. While their sound is rooted in traditional extreme metal, the band distinguishes itself with a deeply narrative conceptual approach.
The album is structured around a short story written by George, the band’s leader and vocalist. Each composition explores specific chapters of this story, achieving a dynamic balance that flows seamlessly between raw intensity and subtle melancholic nuances.
Lyrically, the pieces give voice to a hermit who has chosen voluntary isolation. The narrative describes a process of «identity suicide»—an agonizing journey set in a hostile desert where the old «self» must be sacrificed to allow for a personal rebirth.
