La banda holandesa de black metal Embraced by Darkness ha anunciado el lanzamiento de su álbum debut de larga duración, «Ex Inferis», que saldrá a la venta el 31 de octubre de 2025 a través de Non Serviam Records. Como primer adelanto, la banda ha estrenado el sencillo «Messenger of Satan», ya disponible en todas las plataformas de streaming.
Formados con la intención de canalizar la esencia del black metal tradicional, Embraced by Darkness fusiona una agresión incesante con atmósferas oscuras, incorporando sutiles matices de death metal.
A pesar de las dificultades del periodo de la pandemia, el EP debut de la banda, «MMXXII» (2022), superó las 50.000 reproducciones en Spotify, lo que les permitió consolidar su posición en el underground del metal extremo.
Para su debut, Embraced by Darkness grabó en Armageddon Studio durante 2023 y 2024. El álbum fue producido por Anders Backelin (Lord Belial, Vassago, Trident), capturando la intensidad de la banda.
«Ex Inferis» consta de doce pistas que exploran líricamente la destrucción, la caída de los falsos profetas y la devoción al camino oscuro. El logotipo de la banda fue diseñado por Christophe Szpajdel (Emperor, Moonspell, Dimmu Borgir).
