La escena del metal extremo de la Gran Manzana tiene un nuevo referente de oscuridad y misticismo. Precious Blood, el innovador trío de blackened caribbean doom, ha presentado oficialmente el videoclip de «False Prophets», tema que da título a su más reciente producción discográfica.
El videoclip es una obra íntegramente gestada desde el seno de la banda. La batería Grace Perez asumió los roles de guionista, directora y editora, bajo la producción de Eye N Eye Productions. Según explica la propia Perez, la narrativa visual amalgama grabaciones de las sesiones de estudio en los Catskills con una estética inspirada en el cine de terror clásico y animaciones de estilo cómic, dotando al tema de una atmósfera perturbadora y única.
Formada en 2024, Precious Blood no es una banda de principiantes. Sus integrantes son veteranos curtidos en el underground neoyorquino:
AJ (guitarra y voz): Ex-miembro de Jesus Knevil y Snake Canyon.
Dave Kramer (bajo y coros): Conocido por su trayectoria en Blood Feast, Suaka y Stanley.
Grace Perez (batería y coros): Proveniente de The Wickedexorcist.
La propuesta del trío ha sido bautizada como Blackened Caribbean Doom, una amalgama que fusiona la pesadez del doom con la agresividad del thrash metal, aderezada con sonidos tribales y «riffs bañados en ron».
Líricamente, la banda se aleja de los clichés del género para explorar el espíritu de resistencia del Caribe. Sus textos profundizan en la brutal historia de la colonización, la resiliencia de sus pueblos y las facetas más sombrías de la existencia humana, como la mortalidad y el peso del sufrimiento.
The Big Apple’s extreme metal scene has a new benchmark for darkness and mysticism. Precious Blood, the innovative blackened Caribbean doom trio, has officially unveiled the music video for «False Prophets», the title track of their latest studio production.
The music video is a work entirely conceived from within the band. Drummer Grace Perez took on the roles of screenwriter, director, and editor under the production of Eye N Eye Productions. As Perez herself explains, the visual narrative merges footage from studio sessions in the Catskills with an aesthetic inspired by classic horror cinema and comic-style animations, providing the track with a unique and disturbing atmosphere.
Founded in 2024, Precious Blood is no group of novices. Its members are seasoned veterans of the New York underground:
AJ (guitar and vocals): Former member of Jesus Knevil and Snake Canyon.
Dave Kramer (bass and backing vocals): Known for his tenure in Blood Feast, Suaka, and Stanley.

The trio’s sound has been dubbed Blackened Caribbean Doom, an amalgam that fuses the heaviness of doom with the aggression of thrash metal, seasoned with tribal sounds and «rum-soaked riffs.»
Lyrically, the band steers clear of genre clichés to explore the Caribbean spirit of resistance. Their texts delve into the brutal history of colonization, the resilience of its people, and the darker facets of human existence, such as mortality and the weight of suffering.
