El dúo de progressive death metal Sallow Moth, en colaboración con el portal No Clean Singing, ha estrenado «Biohybrid Virulence», el segundo sencillo de su próximo álbum de estudio, «Hydrophilous Brood», que será publicado a través de Willowtip Records.
«Hydrophilous Brood» traslada al oyente a Pamugara, un nido dimensional inmerso en un ecosistema exuberante. En este plano, los organismos son rematerializados en nuevas especies híbridas tras atravesar un poderoso portal conocido como el Mossbane Lantern. Cada canción del álbum guarda una conexión temática con los artefactos introducidos en su anterior trabajo, extrapolando sus características y las secuelas que provocan en este temperamental entorno planetario.
Musicalmente, Sallow Moth refleja la transformación presente en sus letras; la evolución constante del proyecto se ha convertido en una seña de identidad característica con cada nuevo lanzamiento. Si bien este álbum conserva parte del enfoque cambiante que definió sus obras anteriores, «Hydrophilous Brood»muestra una atención deliberada en la intersección entre el technical death metal y el brutal death metal, potenciada significativamente por la incorporación del habilidoso baterista Allen Gingerich.
En esta entrega, la banda reconoce influencias fundamentales como Mortal Decay, Wormed, Deeds of Flesh, Cephalic Carnage y Cynic, consolidando un sonido complejo y dinámico.

The progressive death metal duo Sallow Moth, in collaboration with the portal No Clean Singing, has premiered «Biohybrid Virulence», the second single from their upcoming studio album, «Hydrophilous Brood», which will be released via Willowtip Records.
«Hydrophilous Brood» transports the listener to Pamugara, a dimensional nest immersed in a lush ecosystem. In this plane, organisms are rematerialized into new hybrid species after passing through a powerful portal known as the Mossbane Lantern. Each song on the album holds a thematic connection to the artifacts introduced in their previous work, extrapolating their characteristics and the aftermath they trigger in this temperamental planetary environment.
Musically, Sallow Moth reflects the transformation found in their lyrics; the project’s constant evolution has become a signature hallmark with each new release. While this album retains some of the shifting approach that defined their previous works, «Hydrophilous Brood» showcases a deliberate focus on the intersection between technical death metal and brutal death metal, significantly enhanced by the addition of skilled drummer Allen Gingerich.
In this installment, the band acknowledges foundational influences such as Mortal Decay, Wormed, Deeds of Flesh, Cephalic Carnage, and Cynic, solidifying a complex and dynamic sound.
