El colectivo australiano de death-doom Reekmind ha confirmado el lanzamiento de su nuevo EP, «Glints From The Crematorium». El material verá la luz el próximo 24 de julio de 2026 a través del sello Night Terrors Records, y estará disponible en formatos de CD y vinilo de 12″. Con esta entrega, la banda expande aún más su universo sonoro, caracterizado por una atmósfera desoladora y una carga emocional devastadora.
Partiendo de las bases sentadas por su álbum debut, Reekmind ha decidido explorar nuevas fronteras sonoras. El grupo incorpora giros compositivos, cambios dinámicos y texturas experimentales que enriquecen su propuesta, sin renunciar a la pesadez aplastante que los define. La música de la banda sigue siendo un vehículo de catarsis donde la desesperación y el peso sonoro coexisten en equilibrio.
El EP mantiene la crudeza orgánica que ha marcado la trayectoria del grupo, al tiempo que amplía su alcance expresivo mediante estructuras más fluidas y un enfoque más profundo en la tensión, el contraste y un ritmo envolvente.
Uno de los puntos destacados de este lanzamiento es la participación de Daniel Butler (Vastum, Decrepisy, Acephalix), quien aporta voces invitadas en el tema «Flesh Draped on a Pitiful Frame», inyectando una capa adicional de hostilidad y angustia.
Asimismo, la edición física contará con un aliciente para los coleccionistas: el tema «Rehearsal in a Body of Death» aparecerá exclusivamente como bonus track en el formato físico, no estando disponible en las plataformas digitales.

The Australian death-doom collective Reekmind has confirmed the release of their new EP, «Glints From The Crematorium». The material will see the light of day on July 24, 2026, through the label Night Terrors Records, and will be available in CD and 12″ vinyl formats. With this installment, the band further expands their sonic universe, characterized by a desolate atmosphere and a devastating emotional weight.
Building on the foundation laid by their debut album, Reekmind has decided to explore new sonic frontiers. The group incorporates compositional twists, dynamic shifts, and experimental textures that enrich their sound without sacrificing the crushing heaviness that defines them. The band’s music remains a vehicle for catharsis, where despair and sonic weight coexist in balance.
The EP maintains the organic rawness that has marked the group’s career, while expanding its expressive scope through more fluid structures and a deeper focus on tension, contrast, and an immersive rhythm.
One of the highlights of this release is the participation of Daniel Butler (Vastum, Decrepisy, Acephalix), who provides guest vocals on the track «Flesh Draped on a Pitiful Frame», injecting an additional layer of hostility and anguish.
Furthermore, the physical edition will feature an incentive for collectors: the track «Rehearsal in a Body of Death» will appear exclusively as a bonus track on the physical format and will not be available on digital platforms.
