La banda estadounidense de black metal Antithetic ha publicado su esperado álbum de larga duración, «Kadath». La grabación, mezcla y masterización del disco se llevaron a cabo en los Gavett Hall Studios, bajo la supervisión de los ingenieros Mikhail Amrayev y William Seastrand.
Con sede en Rochester, Nueva York, Antithetic es un proyecto de melodic black metal que fusiona las tradiciones más agresivas del estilo -provenientes de las escuelas finlandesa y rusa- con un sentido de grandeza y melancolía. The American black metal band Antithetic has released their highly anticipated full-length album, «Kadath». The recording, mixing, and mastering of the record were carried out at Gavett Hall Studios, under the supervision of engineers Mikhail Amrayev and William Seastrand.
Based in Rochester, New York, Antithetic is a melodic black metal project that fuses the most aggressive traditions of the style-originating from the Finnish and Russian schools-with a sense of grandeur and melancholy. The band, formed by Hauras (lead guitar, vocals, and synthesizers), Surma (guitar), Nøkken(bass), and drummers Onidaiko and Andrew Dewar, chooses to perform with hidden faces, shifting the focus away from individual personality toward the purity of the ritual.
Their musical proposal is articulated around the constant tension between beauty and violence, ice and fire. The result is a cinematic experience that guides the listener through a multilingual descent into dreamlands inspired by the Lovecraft universe, cosmic horror, and a dread with medieval overtones.
