La formación estadounidense de black metal Sev Lezu ha anunciado el lanzamiento de su álbum debut homónimo, «Blood Conscript», que estará disponible el próximo 28 de agosto en formatos de vinilo, casete y digital a través del sello Ordovician Records.
«Blood Conscript» narra una historia maldita y sangrienta sobre mitologías antiguas, un panteón lleno de odio y venganza. El álbum fue grabado en Artifact Audio bajo la dirección de Sasha Stroud (batería, voz, letrista y productor), contando con la colaboración de Melissa Moore (guitarra) y FW (bajo), además de la participación especial de la guitarrista y compositora Mia Priest en el tema «Corpse Step». Juntos, dan vida a la visión creativa de la banda: una propuesta de black death melódico y abrasivo, definida como una fuerza implacable de oscuridad misántropa.
Fundada en 2022 por integrantes repartidos entre Nueva York, Filadelfia y el Noroeste del Pacífico, Sev Lezu entrega una malignidad sonora arraigada en la tradición del género. Su estilo canaliza la majestuosidad gélida de la escuela sueca (Dissection, Bathory) y la crudeza de instituciones finlandesas como Sargeist, Horna y Satanic Warmaster. Esta base se amalgama con la violencia rítmica del grindcore de bandas como Terrorizer y Nasum, la carga épica de Iron Maiden y el dinamismo percusivo de las últimas obras de Death.

The American black metal outfit Sev Lezu has announced the release of their self-titled debut album, «Blood Conscript», which will be available this coming August 28 on vinyl, cassette, and digital formats through the label Ordovician Records.
«Blood Conscript» narrates a cursed and bloody story of ancient mythologies, a pantheon filled with hatred and vengeance. The album was recorded at Artifact Audio under the direction of Sasha Stroud (drums, vocals, lyricist, and producer), featuring the collaboration of Melissa Moore (guitar) and FW (bass), alongside a special guest appearance by guitarist and composer Mia Priest on the track «Corpse Step». Together, they bring the band’s creative vision to life: a melodic and abrasive black-death metal proposal, defined as an implacable force of misanthropic darkness.
Founded in 2022 by members spread across New York, Philadelphia, and the Pacific Northwest, Sev Lezu delivers a sonic malignancy rooted in the tradition of the genre. Their style channels the icy majesty of the Swedish school (Dissection, Bathory) and the rawness of Finnish institutions like Sargeist, Horna, and Satanic Warmaster. This foundation is amalgamated with the rhythmic violence of grindcore bands like Terrorizer and Nasum, the epic weight of Iron Maiden, and the percussive dynamism of later Death works.
