Fundados en 2015 en Dukla, en el sur de Polonia, Kalt Vindur se han ganado a pulso la fama de ser una de las propuestas más particulares del underground de black metal polaco. Mezclando melodía, atmósfera y una intensidad cruda, la banda ha ido puliendo una identidad propia que muchos definen como black metal de Subcarpacia.
Tras su debut con «Delusions» (2017) y el aclamado «And Nothing Is Endless» (2020), Kalt Vindur dio un paso adelante en 2023 al fichar por el sello griego The Circle Music. De esa alianza nació «Magna Mater» (2024), un disco que supuso un punto de inflexión en su trayectoria y un antes y un después en su evolución sonora.
Ahora, los polacos regresan con su cuarto álbum de estudio, «The Void Of Time», cuyo lanzamiento está previsto para el 27 de noviembre de 2026 de la mano de The Circle Music.
Tomando como base los cimientos de «Magna Mater», este nuevo trabajo afina aún más la visión artística del grupo. Anclado en el black metal pero impulsado por unas composiciones sólidas, melodías muy expresivas y una gran carga emocional, «The Void Of Time» equilibra a la perfección la agresividad con la atmósfera, mostrando el material más maduro y cohesionado de Kalt Vindur hasta la fecha. El disco abraza tanto la oscuridad como la melancolía sin perder un ápice de grandilocuencia, regalando una escucha potente y envolvente.
«The Void Of Time» ha sido producido por Artur Szydło y Krzysztof Kokosiński, quienes también se han encargados de la mezcla y la masterización. Las letras llevan la firma de Wojciech Kozub, mientras que toda la música ha sido compuesta por Artur Szydło.
El álbum se editará en formato digital (pre-save), en CD en caja de plástico (jewel case) y en vinilo con dos variantes de color (azul jaspeado transparente con negro, y rosa jaspeado con negro). Las reservas ya están abiertas en la tienda online de The Circle Music.
Artur Szydło comenta al respecto:
«The Void Of Time» supone adentrarnos un paso más en nuestro universo musical. Lo compusimos sin cálculos ni planes preestablecidos, fluyendo de manera natural como un torrente de energía traducido en sonido. Quizá suene algo más crudo en ciertos pasajes, pero sigue manteniendo la melodía y la emoción como ejes vertebradores. Aunque el centro neurálgico siga siendo el black metal, para nosotros lo que de verdad importa es la musicalidad y la honestidad expresiva. Son esos matices los que otorgan a cada corte su propia profundidad y carácter».
Como anticipo, Kalt Vindur ha estrenado el videoclip oficial del tema homónimo, «The Void Of Time», disponible ya en todas las plataformas de streaming.
Founded in 2015 in Dukla, in southern Poland, Kalt Vindur have earned themselves the reputation of being one of the most unique acts in the Polish black metal underground. Blending melody, atmosphere, and a raw intensity, the band has been polishing an identity of their own that many define as Subcarpathian black metal.
Following their debut with «Delusions» (2017) and the acclaimed «And Nothing Is Endless» (2020), Kalt Vindur took a step forward in 2023 by signing with the Greek label The Circle Music. From that alliance was born «Magna Mater» (2024), an album that marked a turning point in their career and a before-and-after in their sonic evolution.
Now, the Poles return with their fourth studio album, «The Void Of Time», whose release is scheduled for November 27, 2026, by the hand of The Circle Music.
Building upon the foundations of «Magna Mater», this new work further refines the group’s artistic vision. Anchored in black metal but driven by solid songwriting, highly expressive melodies, and a heavy emotional weight, «The Void Of Time» perfectly balances aggressiveness with atmosphere, showcasing Kalt Vindur’s most mature and cohesive material to date. The album embraces both darkness and melancholy without losing an ounce of grandiloquence, delivering a powerful and immersive listen.
«The Void Of Time» has been produced by Artur Szydło and Krzysztof Kokosiński, who were also in charge of the mixing and mastering. The lyrics bear the signature of Wojciech Kozub, while all the music has been composed by Artur Szydło.
The album will be released in digital format (pre-save), on CD in a jewel case, and on vinyl with two color variants (transparent marbled blue with black, and marbled pink with black). Pre-orders are already open on The Circle Music’s online store.
Artur Szydło comments on the matter:
«The Void Of Time» represents entering one step further into our musical universe. We composed it without calculations or pre-established plans, flowing naturally like a torrent of energy translated into sound. Perhaps it sounds a bit rawer in certain passages, but it still maintains melody and emotion as its backbones. Although the nerve center remains black metal, for us what truly matters is musicality and expressive honesty. It is those nuances that grant each track its own depth and character.
