German blackened death metal machinery Horresque has once again shaken the underground with the release of their brand-new single, “They Came to Kill”. This track serves as the second advance preview of their upcoming third studio album, «Chasms Pt. III – The Dread, Unveiled», scheduled for official release in early 2027.
Acting as the opening movement to the final chapter of their Chasms trilogy, this new cut follows a surge of momentum that includes two heavy-hitting full-lengths and a preceding single unleashed earlier this September 2026.
Musically, the band pairs the relentless aggression of death metal with the frigid textures of black metal, weaving an atmosphere as sinister as it is magnetically melodic. Lyrically, “They Came to Kill” shuns fantasy tropes, plunging headlong into real-world horror by directly confronting the brutal 2015 terrorist attack at Paris’s Bataclan theatre.
To ensure this barrage of sonic violence achieves the highest standards of impact, the recording, mixing, and mastering processes were entrusted to the renowned Victor Bullock (Triptykon, ex-Dark Fortress) at Woodshed Studio in Landshut, Germany.
With another single on the horizon slated for later this year and their eyes firmly fixed on an early 2027 album release, Horresque consolidates their position as one of the most formidable and dark forces in the European extreme scene
