La banda polaca de melodic death/black metal Winterforge ha vuelto a golpear con fuerza en el circuito extremo con el lanzamiento de su flamante nuevo single, “From Hell’s Heart”. Publicado este pasado 10 de septiembre de 2026, el tema viene acompañado de un impactante lyric video realizado en colaboración con el cineasta brasileño Iandro Porto (de Shaumbra ArtVisuals).
Nacidos originalmente en 2018 como un proyecto de estudio que debutó con los singles “Blakkness” y “In Nomine Bestiæ” y su posterior álbum “Hiemal” (abril de 2024), la banda ha evolucionado hasta convertirse en un sólido combo de directo. Su reciente rodaje sobre las tablas incluye citas de peso como la cuarta edición de Opoczno Strikes Again (junto a Deus Mortem) y el festival eslovaco Gothoom Open Air Fest, compartiendo cartel con tótems de la talla de Decapitated, Non Est Deus y Deicide.
Musicalmente, la propuesta de Winterforge se cimenta sobre riffs de guitarra pesados y afinados en rangos graves, guturales arrolladores, secciones rítmicas dinámicas y densas capas de melodías atmosféricas y groove.
Líricamente, “From Hell’s Heart” bucea en los abismos de la literatura universal. Su vocalista, Aleksander Halicki, detalla la conceptualización del tema: «Las letras se basan en temas de la obra «Moby Dick» de Herman Melville. La canción aborda la lucha del hombre contra una naturaleza implacable, el destino o Dios; el intento de comprender lo incomprensible; el abismo del subconsciente humano y lo absoluto en lo que el hombre busca el significado de su existencia. El protagonista, el capitán Ahab, lleva el infierno dentro de sí, y su mente está consumida por los demonios de la venganza (de ahí el título del tema). Otro motivo clave es la cita shakesperiana: «El infierno está vacío y todos los demonios están aquí», que describe perfectamente la situación en la que se encuentran los personajes, sirviendo al mismo tiempo como metáfora de la humanidad como el diablo encarnado en la Tierra».
Con este nuevo capítulo sonoro ya disponible, Winterforge reafirman su estatus como una de las propuestas más interesantes del metal extremo contemporáneo de Europa del Este.

Released this past September 10, 2026, the track is accompanied by a striking lyric video produced in collaboration with Brazilian filmmaker Iandro Porto (of Shaumbra ArtVisuals).
Originally birthed in 2018 as a studio project that debuted with the singles “Blakkness” and “In Nomine Bestiæ” and their subsequent album “Hiemal” (April 2024), the band has evolved into a formidable live entity. Their recent stage experience includes high-profile appearances such as the fourth edition of Opoczno Strikes Again (alongside Deus Mortem) and Slovakia’s Gothoom Open Air Fest, sharing boards with titans like Decapitated, Non Est Deus, and Deicide.
Musically, Winterforge‘s sound is built upon heavy, down-tuned guitar riffs, crushing gutturals, dynamic rhythm sections, and dense layers of atmospheric melody and groove.
Lyrically, “From Hell’s Heart” plunges into the depths of classic literature. Vocalist Aleksander Halicki details the concept behind the track: «The lyrics draw from themes in Herman Melville’s ‘Moby Dick‘. The song addresses man’s struggle against an unrelenting nature, fate, or God; the attempt to comprehend the incomprehensible; the abyss of the human subconscious and the absolute in which man seeks the meaning of his existence. The protagonist, Captain Ahab, carries hell within him, his mind consumed by the demons of vengeance—hence the track’s title. Another key motif is the Shakespearean quote, ‘Hell is empty and all the devils are here,’ which perfectly describes the situation the characters find themselves in, while serving as a metaphor for humanity as the devil incarnate on Earth.»
With this new sonic chapter now unleashed, Winterforge reaffirms their status as one of Eastern Europe’s most compelling contemporary extreme metal acts.
