The extreme underground runs thick with blood and violence once again. Colombian brutal death metal outfit Decarabion has officially confirmed the release of their highly anticipated new studio album, titled «Desacralization», set to arrive on December 11, 2026, through the influential specialized label Comatose Music. Six years after bursting out of Bogotá with their devastating debut «Bastard Son Of Divinity» (2020), and following the calculated hardening of their sound on the «Hidden In Delirium, Reality Revealed» EP (2023) and last year’s crushing single “Procedures To Metaphysical Annihilation”, the South American quartet returns to lay claim as one of the most atrocious and precise names in the global scene.
Far from a mere indiscriminate barrage of noise, «Desacralization» merges punishing physical ferocity with surgical execution and hook-laden compositional twists. From the opening attack of “Aborted Pact Between Heaven And Men”, the record pummels the listener with frantic blast beats, guitar work executed at inhuman tempos, and cavernous vocal performance that tears through the ribcage.
Among the record’s standout cuts are pieces like “Divine Cleanse Of Every Trace Of Humanity On Earth” and “Path To Acceleration Of Global Entropy”, where a heavy bass foundation anchors twisted, monolithic riffs. The hostility never relents across passages like “Suffering The Relentless Fist Of A Revengeful Divinity” or the masterclass in refined brutality that is “Sublime Seduction Of The Seven Headed Beast”. To seal the slaughter, the band has included an old-school tribute to their native soil as a bonus track: a cover of the classic “My Quartered Stepmother” by cult acts Purulent.
To ensure a dry, sharp, and truly devastating impact through the speakers, mixing and mastering duties were handled by Sasha Borovykh at Tsun Tsun Productions—a producer renowned for his work with titans of the caliber of Aborted Fetus, Insect Inside, and Kraanium.
On the visual front, the nightmare cover artwork adorning the release bears the signature of illustrator Adi Dechristianize, whose grotesque brushstrokes have previously brought to life iconic covers for the likes of Demonstealer, Molested Divinity, and Old Throne.
«Desacralization» already stands as an essential year-end fixture for all devotees of technical, dense, and uncompromising brutal death metal.
