Los polacos Burning Creation están listos para dar el golpe definitivo en la mesa del metal extremo. La formación originaria de Żywiec ha anunciado oficialmente el lanzamiento de su segundo álbum de estudio, «Breath of Fire», el cual llegará a las calles y plataformas digitales el próximo 13 de noviembre de 2026 a través del sello Via Nocturna. Este nuevo trabajo marca una evolución drástica en la propuesta de la banda, dejando atrás las bases del melodeath y el viking metal de sus inicios para abrazar un death metal crudo, pesado y de corte old-school con claro aroma a la mítica escena sueca.
Fundada a principios de 2022 por los hermanos Klimond tras el parón de Haures, la agrupación captó la atención del underground con su EP debut «Never Dead Nation» (2023) y el posterior LP «Sea of Dead Bodies». Si bien aquellos trabajos pivotaban sobre pasajes melódicos y épicos, en «Breath of Fire» el grupo redobla la apuesta por la agresividad sin concesiones.
El nuevo material bebe directamente de gigantes como Unleashed, Hypocrisy y los primeros Dark Tranquillity,utilizando la velocidad, los riffs afilados y una sección rítmica aplastante como eje central, mientras que las pinceladas nórdicas pasan a ser matices atmosféricos sobre una base pura de pura devastación.
Líricamente, «Breath of Fire» actúa como la continuación conceptual de su discografía anterior. La trama sigue la marcha impredecible de la Undead Nation: guerreros que regresan del más allá para reducir la civilización a cenizas tras el olvido de los antiguos valores.
El álbum consta de siete cortes originales más una intro atmosférica sumergida de lleno en la mitología nórdica,explorando pasajes como la batalla final entre el dios Vidar y el lobo Fenrir, los dominios submarinos de Ægir y Rán, y el reino helado del Niflheim reservado para quienes no cayeron con honor en combate.
Para capturar esta nueva impronta visceral, Burning Creation dividió la grabación entre dos estudios de referencia:
Batería y bajo: Grabados en Sound Stone Studio junto al ingeniero Paweł Kurowski.
Guitarras y voces: Registradas en el estudio de Marek Stefaniak, quien también asumió las labores de mezcla y masterización final.
El arte visual corre a cargo del ilustrador Damian Bydliński, conocido por sus trabajos previos para bandas de la talla de Riverside y Lucifer’s Friend.

Poland’s Burning Creation are ready to make a definitive statement in the extreme metal scene. The band, originating from Żywiec, has officially announced the release of their second studio album, «Breath of Fire», which will hit the streets and digital platforms on November 13, 2026, via Via Nocturna. This new work marks a drastic evolution in the band’s musical direction, leaving behind the melodeath and viking metal foundations of their early days to embrace a raw,heavy, old-school death metal heavily inspired by the legendary Swedish scene.
Founded in early 2022 by the Klimond brothers following the hiatus of Haures, the outfit caught the underground’s attention with their debut EP «Never Dead Nation» (2023) and their subsequent LP «Sea of Dead Bodies». While those releases pivoted around melodic and epic passages, on «Breath of Fire» the group doubles down on uncompromising aggressiveness.
The new material draws direct inspiration from giants like Unleashed, Hypocrisy, and early Dark Tranquillity, using speed, sharp riffs, and a crushing rhythm section as its core axis, while Nordic flourishes become atmospheric nuances over a foundation of pure devastation.
Lyrically, «Breath of Fire» acts as a conceptual continuation of their previous discography. The plot follows the unpredictable march of the Undead Nation: warriors returning from the afterlife to reduce civilization to ashes after ancient values are forgotten.
The album consists of seven original tracks plus an atmospheric intro deeply immersed in Norse mythology, exploring themes such as the final battle between the god Víðarr and the wolf Fenrir, the underwater realms of Ægir and Rán, and the frozen kingdom of Niflheim reserved for those who did not die with honor in battle.
To capture this new visceral identity, Burning Creation split the recording process between two renowned studios:
Drums and bass: Recorded at Sound Stone Studio with engineer Paweł Kurowski.
Guitars and vocals: Recorded at Marek Stefaniak’s studio, who also took on the final mixing and mastering duties.
The visual artwork was created by illustrator Damian Bydliński, known for his previous work with bands of the caliber of Riverside and Lucifer’s Friend.
