La maquinaria extrema procedente de Serbia, Ala, ha anunciado oficialmente su incorporación al prestigioso roster del sello internacional WormholeDeath. Para celebrar este pacto infernal, la banda ha desvelado los detalles de su esperado álbum debut, «The Dragon’s Return», cuyo lanzamiento a nivel mundial está programado para el próximo 23 de octubre de 2026. Como primer adelanto, el grupo ha estrenado el tema homónimo junto a un fulgurante lyric video.
Nacida de la mente de Damir Mirojević (Omadan IX / «O.») durante su etapa en la banda serbia de black metal Kolac, Ala -cuyo nombre rinde tributo a una mítica serpiente dragón de colosal poder destructivo de la mitología balcánica- nace con el propósito de disolver las fronteras genéricas. Compuesto a lo largo de 2025, el disco entrelaza la crudeza del black, thrash, speed y heavy metal con texturas de dark ambient y rock psicodélico de tintes setenteros.
El sonido del álbum bebe directamente de tótems históricos de la oscuridad y la velocidad, canalizando la agresividad y el misticismo de leyendas como Slayer, Motörhead, Mercyful Fate, Sarcófago, Dissection, Nifelheim, Destroyer 666 y Watain. El resultado combina riffs afilados como cuchillas, velocidades endiabladas y pasajes ambientales hipnóticos que exploran líricamente la rebelión, el instinto primario y la transmutación espiritual.

Serbian extreme machine Ala has officially announced its signing to the roster of international label WormholeDeath. To celebrate this infernal pact, the band has unveiled details of their debut album, «The Dragon’s Return», slated for worldwide release on October 23, 2026. As a first preview, the group has premiered the title track alongside a fiery lyric video.
Conceived by Damir Mirojević (Omadan IX / «O.») during his tenure in the Serbian black metal band Kolac, Ala –named in homage to a mythical dragonserpent of colossal destructive power from Balkan mythology- was forged with the purpose of dissolving genre boundaries. Composed throughout 2025, the album weaves the raw edge of black, thrash, speed, and heavy metal with dark ambient textures and 1970s-infused psychedelic rock.
The album’s sound draws directly from historical totems of speed and darkness, channeling the aggression and mysticism of legends like Slayer, Motörhead, Mercyful Fate, Sarcófago, Dissection, Nifelheim, Destroyer 666, and Watain. The result pairs razor-sharp riffs, breakneck speeds, and hypnotic atmospheric passages that lyrically explore rebellion, primal instinct, and spiritual transmutation.
