A pocos días del lanzamiento de su esperado nuevo álbum, «Eminent Womb», el trío del Valle del Hudson Mama Doom ha vuelto a golpear con el estreno de “Picked Clean”, su tercer y último single. Rompiendo con su habitual despliegue de imaginería cinemática, la banda ha optado por acompañar el lanzamiento con un sobrio lyric video, permitiendo que el peso visceral de la letra domine por completo la experiencia.
Sobre la crudeza del nuevo corte, la banda explica: «Decidimos apostar por un lyric video para una de mis canciones favoritas, «Picked Clean». Es un tema que no necesitaba toda nuestra parafernalia visual habitual. Lo despojamos de todo para dejar que las letras hablen por sí mismas».
A nivel lírico, “Picked Clean” bucea en los oscuros terrenos de la erosión emocional, la manipulación psicológica y el tortuoso camino de vuelta hacia la propia fortaleza. La letra retrata la asfixia de una relación tóxica donde el agresor socava sistemáticamente la confianza de la víctima, intentando convencerla de su incapacidad para sobrevivir en solitario; un abismo del que, sin embargo, siempre es posible emerger para recuperar el control.
Este tercer adelanto llega para unirse a los previamente editados “Morning Son” y “Woven Linen”. Juntas, estas piezas conforman el mapa de un álbum donde el misticismo ocultista, el humor negro, los pesados grooves de raigambre pesada y las melodías embriagadoras convergen bajo la inconfundible estética coven core del grupo.
La obra al completo verá la luz a nivel mundial el próximo 25 de septiembre de 2026 de la mano del sello Argonauta Records, editándose en formato CD, plataformas digitales y una codiciada edición de lujo en vinilo de color.

Just a few days ahead of the release of their highly anticipated new album, «Eminent Womb», Hudson Valley trio Mama Doom has struck again with the premiere of “Picked Clean”, their third and final single. Breaking away from their usual showcase of cinematic imagery, the band has chosen to accompany the release with an understated lyric video, letting the visceral weight of the words completely dominate the experience.
Regarding the raw nature of the new track, the band explains: «We decided to go with a lyric video for one of my favorite songs, ‘Picked Clean’. It’s a track that didn’t need all of our usual visual paraphernalia. We stripped it down to let the lyrics speak for themselves.»
Lyrically, “Picked Clean” delves into the dark territories of emotional erosion, psychological manipulation, and the arduous journey back toward self-strength. The lyrics paint a picture of the suffocation within a toxic relationship where the abuser systematically undercuts the victim’s confidence, trying to convince them of their inability to survive alone—an abyss from which, nevertheless, it is always possible to emerge and reclaim control.
This third advance track joins the previously released “Morning Son” and “Woven Linen”. Together, these pieces map out an album where occult mysticism, dark humor, heavy-rooted grooves, and intoxicating melodies converge under the group’s signature coven core aesthetic.
The full work will see a worldwide release on September 25, 2026, via Argonauta Records, coming out on CD, digital platforms, and a sought-after deluxe colored vinyl edition.
