Nacidos en 2015 como criatura del multiinstrumentista Giovanni Antonio Vigliotti, los abanderados del doom/death metal melódico Somnent se han consolidado como una de las propuestas más honestas y conmovedoras del circuito underground. Tras un EP, dos aclamados álbumes de estudio y un trabajo en directo, la banda ha anunciado un nuevo y trascendental paso en su carrera al estampar su firma con el sello Ardua Music para la edición de su flamante tercer larga duración, «Heirloom», cuyo lanzamiento mundial está programado para el próximo 30 de octubre de 2026.
Lejos de los clichés de género, la música de Somnent siempre se ha caracterizado por fusionar una dignidad majestuosa con una cruda y valiente vulnerabilidad. En esta nueva entrega, el concepto lírico gira en torno a los efectos devastadores de un entorno familiar tóxico, las profundas heridas que tardan toda una vida en cerrar y la ansiada liberación que se alcanza al cortar definitivamente las cadenas del pasado.
Pintado con tonalidades de luz crepuscular y gris cementerio, «Heirloom» despliega una paleta sónica cristalina y táctil que amplifica su poder inmersivo. Para redondear esta obra de belleza doliente y pesadez asfixiante, el apartado gráfico cuenta con una portada creada por el reputado artista Augusto Peixoto de Iron Doom Design (conocido por su trabajo con bandas como In Solitude, Rise To The Sky y Sinister Realm).
Con este tercer asalto, Somnent capturan la esencia más pura del doom metal para dotarla de una empatía y una claridad reflexiva insólitas, convirtiendo «Heirloom» en una de las citas obligadas de este otoño.

Following an EP, two acclaimed studio full-lengths, and a live record, the band has announced a monumental new step in their career by signing with Ardua Music for the release of their brand-new third album, «Heirloom», scheduled for a worldwide release on October 30, 2026.
Far from genre cliches, Somnent‘s music has always been defined by fusing majestic dignity with raw, courageous vulnerability. On this new effort, the lyrical concept revolves around the devastating aftermath of a toxic family environment, the deep-seated wounds that take a lifetime to heal, and the long-sought liberation achieved by definitively severing the chains of the past.
Painted in shades of twilight and graveyard gray, «Heirloom» unveils a crystal-clear, tactile sonic palette that heightens its immersive pull. Rounding out this work of grieving beauty and suffocating heaviness, the visual artwork features a cover created by renowned artist Augusto Peixoto of Iron Doom Design (noted for his work with bands such as In Solitude, Rise To The Sky, and Sinister Realm).
