In Darkness All Shadows Gone».

Colombian extreme metal outfit Eshtadur has once again shaken the scene with the release of “Thunderground”, the fourth and final single serving as a direct prelude to their upcoming studio album, «In Darkness All Shadows Gone». This highly anticipated record is set to see the light of day on October 2, 2026, via Rockshots Records.
Fast, heavy, and uncompromising, “Thunderground” channels the group’s hallmark identity by combining a wall of relentless riffs, razor-sharp melodies, and an oppressive atmosphere anchored in the album’s mystical narrative.
At the conceptual core of the track lies the figure of the Thunder God, a celestial force associated with enlightenment and spiritual transformation. Inspired by traditions where being struck by lightning signifies a calling or a gift, the song portrays thunder as an agent of simultaneous destruction and revelation, capable of shattering illusions to force a new state of consciousness.
This symbolism connects directly to the journey weaving through «In Darkness All Shadows Gone»:
The Narrative: The call of the Thunder God is addressed to The Crow, the shamanic figure guiding the album’s conceptual storyline, where darkness is not an endpoint, but the necessary catalyst for transformation and self-discovery.
The Musical Delivery: Fast-paced guitars and driving riffs propel a track where death metal aggression collides with meticulously balanced melodic textures.
Gested over four years, Eshtadur‘s new album consists of 12 tracks fusing the foundations of black and death metal with melodic and symphonic elements, expanding the band’s sonic horizon through orchestral arrangements, layered vocals, and Tuvan throat singing techniques.
The technical and production credentials assemble an elite roster:
Orchestration: Developed in collaboration with the Caldas Symphonic Orchestra, with sessions tracked at the Batuta Theater in Manizales, Colombia.
General Production: Handled by Jorg August.
Drums: Tracked by Michal Lysejko (Dieth) in Poland.
Mixing & Mastering: Executed by Tomasz «Zed» Zalewski.
Founded in Colombia and active since 2007, Eshtadur fuses Gothenburg-school death metal, black metal, and classical composition with a deep interest in poetry, mysticism, and cosmogony. Boasting extensive live credentials that include European and North American tours, the combo has shared stages with titans like Behemoth, Deicide, Vader, Hate, and Exodus, in addition to gracing major platforms such as 70000 Tons of Metal, Rock al Parque, and Grita Fest.
Following the previous singles “Into The Woods”, “August’s Burdens” and “Omen Of Millennia”,“Thunderground” completes the suite of advance tracks paving the way for the arrival of «In Darkness All Shadows Gone» this coming October 2, 2026.
