La banda polaca de metal extremo Massteron ha anunciado la salida de su esperado álbum debut, «Second in the Spheres», programado para ver la luz el próximo 24 de septiembre de 2026 a través del prestigioso sello ATMF. El lanzamiento se editará en un formato físico de CD Digipak de seis paneles, plasmando sin contemplaciones la visión intransigente del grupo.
Como primer adelanto de esta tormenta sonora, la banda ha liberado el sencillo «True Midnight», ya disponible en streaming, abriendo oficialmente las reservas del álbum.
Formada por músicos curtidos durante años en las trincheras del underground polaco, Massteron canaliza el espíritu salvaje del black-death de finales de los noventa sin caer en la simple nostalgia. La formación bebe de la intensidad primal de los primeros Azarath e Inquisition, además de la crudeza de Aura Noir, abordando los cimientos del género con la perspectiva y la disciplina de veteranos curtidos en mil batallas.
Lejos de buscar una perfección artificial o depender de ediciones excesivas y programaciones, «Second in the Spheres» fue grabado en directo en el estudio a lo largo de sus 37 minutos de duración, capturando la inmediatez y el impacto físico real de la banda. No obstante, la crudeza no exime de un cuidado enfermizo: cada riff, transición y cambio de dinámica está medido al milímetro, logrando un equilibrio letal entre caos y estructura.

The Polish extreme metal band Massteron has announced the release of their highly anticipated debut album, «Second in the Spheres», scheduled to see the light of day this coming September 24, 2026, through the prestigious label ATMF. The release will be issued in a physical six-panel CD Digipak format, capturing the group’s uncompromising vision without hesitation.
As the first preview of this sonic storm, the band has dropped the single «True Midnight», available now for streaming, officially opening pre-orders for the album.
Formed by musicians seasoned over years in the trenches of the Polish underground, Massteron channels the wild spirit of late-nineties black-death metal without falling into mere nostalgia. The outfit draws from the primal intensity of early Azarath and Inquisition, alongside the rawness of Aura Noir, tackling the genre’s foundations with the perspective and discipline of battle-tested veterans.
Far from seeking artificial perfection or relying on excessive editing and programming, «Second in the Spheres» was recorded live in the studio across its 37-minute duration, capturing the band’s immediacy and real physical impact. However, rawness does not preclude obsessive care: every riff, transition, and dynamic shift is measured to the millimeter, achieving a lethal balance between chaos and structure.
