La formación internacional de symphonic black metal MorteMutta ha regresado al frente de la escena extrema con el lanzamiento de su nuevo sencillo, «På Markene». Este nuevo artefacto sonoro fue registrado en los Eijefjorden Studios, mientras que las labores de mezcla y masterización corrieron a cargo de Chris Highlander.
Gestada originalmente en 1999 por la alianza transcontinental entre DC (Noruega) y JJ (Japón), MorteMutta se define a sí misma como un proyecto de fjordmetal que tiende un puente directo entre los ancestrales fiordos escandinavos y los paisajes neón nipones. Lejos de limitarse a la estructura convencional de una banda de metal, el dúo teje un universo cinematográfico que fusiona el folclore nórdico y el japonés mediante voces en múltiples idiomas e instrumentación poco convencional, incluyendo desde el tradicional koto hasta el rugido ensordecedor de motosierras.

The international symphonic black metal outfit MorteMutta has returned to the forefront of the extreme scene with the release of their new single, «På Markene». This new sonic artifact was recorded at Eijefjorden Studios, while mixing and mastering duties were handled by Chris Highlander.
Originally conceived in 1999 by the transcontinental alliance between DC (Norway) and JJ (Japan), MorteMutta defines itself as a fjordmetal project bridging ancestral Scandinavian fjords with Japanese neon landscapes. Far from limiting themselves to the conventional structure of a metal band, the duo weaves a cinematic universe fusing Nordic and Japanese folklore through multilingual vocals and unconventional instrumentation, ranging from the traditional koto to the deafening roar of chainsaws.
For the band, world-building and mythological storytelling have always taken priority over isolated singles—an underground purism that once reached absolute extremes when JJ completely destroyed the masters of their early albums in an infamous creative outburst.
