La formación alemana de black metal The Aeons Torn ha confirmado los detalles de su esperado segundo álbum de estudio, «Void Artefakkts», que verá la luz el próximo 27 de noviembre de 2026. Para calentar motores de cara a este lanzamiento, la banda ha desvelado el primer sencillo del disco, “Rite of Dread”, ya disponible en todas las plataformas de streaming principales como Spotify, Bandcamp y YouTube.
Con este nuevo trabajo, el grupo profundiza en la colisión conceptual entre el rigor científico del universo y el horror cósmico más absoluto. Su propuesta musical bascula con maestría entre densos y pesados pasajes de doom metal y eruptivas explosiones de black metal, todo ello respaldado por un registro vocal versátil donde gritos viscerales, guturales profundos y voces limpias se alternan para canalizar el pánico y la desesperación. Enmarcado en un solemne medio tiempo con gran protagonismo de las voces limpias, el single “Rite of Dread” funciona como una continuación natural de su EP editado en 2025, «Lovecraftian Hunger». En el plano lírico, el corte traduce el terror sectario de raigambre lovecraftiana en un ritual de fuego y pavor ineludible.

With this new effort, the group delves deeper into the conceptual collision between the scientific rigor of the universe and absolute cosmic horror. Musically, their sound masterfully balances dense, heavy doom metal passages with eruptive blasts of black metal, all anchored by a versatile vocal performance where visceral shrieks, deep growls, and clean vocals alternate to channel panic and despair. Furthermore, the inclusion of spoken-word segments featuring scientific quotes reinforces an oppressive atmosphere surrounding the unfathomable mysteries of the cosmos.
