Tras siete largos años de letargo discográfico, la formación noruega Vingulmork ha roto el silencio para anunciar su obra más oscura, pesada y ambiciosa hasta la fecha. Titulado «Barmhjertighetens Fallitt», este nuevo álbum de larga duración nace de las entrañas del desprecio, la rabia y la bilis de los sueños rotos, y verá la luz el próximo 11 de septiembre de 2026 bajo un frente conjunto formado por los sellos Crime Records, Likskue Productions y Schattenpfade.
Gestados en Oslo en 2013, la banda hunde sus raíces en la frialdad y la ferocidad del black metal noruego, aunque con los años han sabido trazar un camino propio guiado por un enfoque colosalmente pesado y dominado por los riffs. After seven long years of recording dormancy, the Norwegian outfit Vingulmork has broken the silence to announce their darkest, heaviest, and most ambitious work to date. Titled «Barmhjertighetens Fallitt», this new full-length album is born from the depths of contempt, rage, and the bile of broken dreams, and will see the light of day this coming September 11, 2026, under a joint front formed by the labels Crime Records, Likskue Productions, and Schattenpfade.
Conceived in Oslo in 2013, the band sinks its roots into the coldness and ferocity of Norwegian black metal, though over the years they have carved out their own path guided by a colossally heavy, riff-driven approach. After catching the underground’s attention with their debut «Chiaroscuro» (2015) and the «Avgrunn» EP (2019), the group now returns ready to tear down any genre boundaries.
To grant this sonic monolith its muscular punch and razor-sharp vitality, the recording and mixing process was split across Top Room Studios, Sounds Of O Studios, MOTU Studios, and Stokkosen Studios. Mastering was handled by the meticulous Robin Mahler at Germany’s Ocean Studios, while the striking cover art bears the signature of artist Jon Schaug Carlsen.
