(English Below)

Norwegian technical death metal outfit Celestial Scourge has revealed the details of their highly anticipated second studio album, «Exomia», set to be released later this 2026 via Time To Kill Records. Following up on their acclaimed 2025 debut, «Observers of the Inevitable», the band delves deeper into the futuristic, space-themed conceptual universe that defined their first work, transporting us into a far denser and more sinister chapter.
In the band’s own words regarding the album’s narrative backdrop: » ‘Exomia’ is the continuation of the story from the first album, but this time in a denser and darker manner than ever before. We follow the human evacuation from Planet Earth to their new home, a world that from a distance appears deserted and empty—something that turns out to be very far from reality as soon as they land.»
With «Exomia», Celestial Scourge refines their sonic formula, opting for a more aggressive and direct punch atop their technical death metal foundations. Without sacrificing the compositional complexity that defines their identity, the album places greater emphasis on immediacy, balancing intricate arrangements with memorable riffs and crushing heaviness.
The record also features high-profile guest appearances, notably including vocals from Devin Swank (frontman of Sanguisugabogg) on the track “Spherical Aberrations”.
Founded in 2021 by bassist Stian Gundersen, the lineup brings together scene veterans from prominent underground acts such as Blood Red Throne, Deception, Ruun, Vorbid, and Todesking. Their sound draws inspiration from genre titans like Suffocation, Deeds of Flesh, The Faceless, The Zenith Passage, and Cattle Decapitation.
