Los italianos Hellmetall han intensificado la cuenta atrás para el lanzamiento de su segundo álbum de estudio, «Mgła», programado para el próximo 4 de septiembre de 2026 a través del sello Rockshots Records. Como pieza central de esta campaña, la banda ha desvelado el videoclip oficial del tema homónimo, una pieza dirigida por Chiara Bettiga que traduce visualmente la atmósfera opresiva y el trasfondo histórico de una de las páginas más oscuras del frente italo-austrohúngaro durante la Primera Guerra Mundial.
El sencillo, cuyo título significa «niebla» en polaco, rememora los ataques de gas perpetrados por las fuerzas alemanas y austrohúngaras contra las tropas italianas en las proximidades de Plezzo (hoy Bovec, Eslovenia). Este acontecimiento no es un caso aislado, sino que encapsula el concepto central de un álbum construido sobre las cicatrices de las grandes guerras del siglo XX en las tierras fronterizas de Val Resia.
Lo que hace a Hellmetall una formación única en el circuito actual es su inquebrantable compromiso con su herencia: toda su lírica está escrita en resiano, una lengua eslava ancestral que confiere a su propuesta un carácter místico y auténtico. Musicalmente, el grupo ha evolucionado desde sus inicios con fuertes tintes folclóricos hacia una encarnación mucho más madura, oscura y pesada.
«Mgła» representa el punto de inflexión definitivo hacia una mezcla visceral de Thrash y Death Metal, con incursiones hacia texturas más frías propias del Black Metal, pero manteniendo siempre esa sensibilidad melódica que los ha definido desde que lanzaran su debut, «Sa Naso Semjo», en 2015.
La banda celebrará el lanzamiento con una fiesta oficial el mismo 4 de septiembre en el Trieste Rock Camp, dando continuidad a un año de intensa actividad que les ha llevado a festivales de referencia como el Kaltenbach Open Air en Austria y una gira dedicada por el este de Europa.

Italian outfit Hellmetall has intensified the countdown to the release of their second studio album, «Mgła», scheduled to see the light of day this coming September 4, 2026, through the label Rockshots Records. As the centerpiece of this campaign, the band has unveiled the official music video for the title track, directed by Chiara Bettiga, which visually translates the oppressive atmosphere and historical backdrop of one of the darkest pages on the Austro-Hungarian Italian front during World War I.
The single, whose title means «fog» in Polish, recalls the gas attacks perpetrated by German and Austro-Hungarian forces against Italian troops near Plezzo (now Bovec, Slovenia). This event is not an isolated case, but rather encapsulates the central concept of an album built upon the scars left by the great 20th-century wars in the borderlands of Val Resia.
What makes Hellmetall a unique act in the current circuit is their unshakeable commitment to their heritage: all their lyrics are written in Resian, an ancestral Slavic dialect that grants their proposal a mystical and authentic character. Musically, the group has evolved from their early folk-infused roots toward a much more mature, dark, and heavy incarnation.
