The machinery of British act Xenith shows no signs of slowing down. Hailing from Manchester, the young outfit has unleashed their new single and official music video, “Incite The Tragedy”, now available on all streaming platforms. The track serves as the final assault ahead of the release of their highly anticipated debut full-length album, «To No Avail», scheduled to see the light of day tomorrow, Friday, August 28, 2026.
Since their genesis in 2024, the quartet -comprising vocalist and guitarist Billy Hourigan, guitarist Casey Dennis, bassist Jamo Morris, and drummer Karim Treifi- has burst onto the British underground circuit with force. Following their self-titled debut EP and the standalone single “Swim”, the group caught the attention of specialized press with “Killer Instinct”, the first preview of this new record, which earned praise from major publications such as Metal Hammer. Furthermore, hitting the stage alongside thrash veterans Evile has solidified their reputation as a live steamroller.
Conceived and recorded over the past year, «To No Avail» deploys a total of ten tracks that balance the aggression and speed of thrash metal with the atmospheres and razor-sharp edge of melodic death metal. Echoes of essential legends like At The Gates and Opeth resonate throughout their sound, filtered through a modern, sharp, and distinct personality.
In the words of Billy Hourigan regarding the studio process: «Working with Cam Shuck on the mixing and mastering helped us enormously to capture all the raw emotion we were aiming for on ‘To No Avail.’ We drank directly from early At The Gates and Opeth, but tried to channel those influences through our own voices.»
With the imminent arrival of their first full-length record, Xenith stands out as one of the most solid and promising acts in the new wave of British extreme metal.
